I dined again at Mr. Farmer Tokyo Midtown Hibiya restaurant, before riding a train back home from Tokyo station. Open from lunch to dinner and at walking distance from the train station, Imperial Palace East Gardens and a statue of Godzilla, it’s convenient for lone & couples of tourists looking for a healthy takeaway or dine-in.
Underground, it’s nevertheless clean, spacious with ±50 seats, free of heavy cooking smells, and pleasant with its vegetal decorations. It’s at times lively, rather than noisy. The English/Japanese menu with QR code order is suitable for vegans, and I was always quickly served. Over the years, I tasted their vegan burgers, loco moco, etc. with refreshing detox water. This time, I savoured a big vegan green salad: avocado, seasonal green vegetables, sprouts, mixed leaves… Next time, I’ll probably add an exciting dessert and coffee! Food has always been tasty here but it’s a bit pricey.

The owner opened the first Mr. Farmer in Omotesando district in 1994, naming this casual restaurant in a way that reflects nationwide sourcing of vegetables through ±100 farmers. Organic produce remains favoured, MSG is excluded, and food additives are avoided. Mr. Farmer Tokyo Midtown Hibiya opened in 2018.
Note: You’ll find the restrooms and space for a stroller in the neighbouring food court.

Next Time At Mr. Farmer Tokyo Midtown Hibiya
I plan to:
- Taste the coffee and a vegan dessert.
- Photograph the room, detox water, and nearby statue of Godzilla.
- Check wheelchair accessibility.
- And if I get the opportunity, maybe eat at the first Mr. Farmer too.
