Healthcare in Japan is amazingly cheap despite its high quality. It felt like a joke every time I paid at the dentist; how do they pay for salaries, equipment…? All the Japanese & foreign residents are covered by law, medical fees are regulated, patients pay 30% maximum, and monthly caps prevent debt! Take that into account when you compare salaries between countries after getting a job offer in Japan 🙂
